Fine vocals but more like jazz vocals, ala Ethel Waters, than blues with great accompaniment by the excellent but scarcely recorded Edgar Dowell on piano with his "Chicago Waddlers" featuring: Robert Starr-c; Teddy Nixon-tb and James Thomas. The band plays a long instrumental section on "Midnight Dan" where they can be heard to full advantage.
Condition: V; Plays fine over light to moderate surface noise tho a bit noisier toward the end of "Midnight Dan". Overall, moderate surface rubbing and several light to moderate scratches resulting in some pop/crackle. A few light lams on rim, a couple of which go into the grooves with little or no affect on playing.
