The first half chronicles the development of Columbia's standard label (from Climax to CBS), and the second half illustrates many of Columbia's specialty, subsidiary and client labels. Included are chapters on advertising & promotional issues, children's records, foreign & ethnic labels, movie & radio transcriptions plus special pressings, test pressings and vanity recordings.
