Bit to cover here: Scare label pressed by Emerson for the Larkin Co. of Buffalo, N.Y from 1919 to 1922. Though Rust’s Dance Band Discography argues that George Gershwin, the composer on this side, may well have been the pianist on the Van Eps Specialty Four sessions, however Frank Banta, Van Eps’ usual pianist, is listed on the label of this side along with Nathan Glantz and Geo. Hamilton Green. Flip side is fine Fox Trot by Green Brothers Novelty Band which features such talents as Earl Oliver, Tom Brown, Rudy Weidoeft, Arden & Ohman, etc.
Condition: V++; Plays fine, loud and strong, generally quiet surface. Grooves fine but overall light to moderate rubbing/scuffing and fine light scratch or two.
