Several of Paramount's biggest stars at the time gathered together to make this around October, 1929, released in February 1930. Each performer plays a few choruses of one of their hits (possibly with the exception of Blind Lemon Jefferson, who gets top billing on the label but whose presence is only implied on the recording, and it may be Blind Blake doing an imitation of Jefferson's guitar style). This copy is better than most, light wear and a few scuffs, a 1" crack that has been sealed by Jim Cooprider, and a few small dents from being hot while in contact with something hard, which cause thumps in a few places on Part 2. Plays with minor peak distortion with a 3.5-mil stylus.
