Early recording of musical scene from a popular play of the period “The Old Homestead” Though first recorded 1901, apparently these performances were rerecorded a number of times by various artists using the same catalog number. Therefore hard to date exactly but maybe as late as 1906.
Condition: V+; Plays strong over moderate surface noise. Corroded dig (about 10 grooves) at beginning of side during ringing of church bells, resulting in loud thumps and sticks, not in dialogue or music though. One or two other small passing digs resulting in a few loud thumps. Some light grain, very light graying of grooves and light rubbing and bit of light scratching.
