Cliff Jackson's last recording with the Krazy Kats (under the pseudonym Newport Syncopators), and one of the hottest by this Harlem band. This is the A take of "The Terror." Flip side is of little interest except to a Frank Novak fan. One nice thing about the crappy Grey Gull recording process, a V+ copy doesn't play all that much worse than an E copy, since there's distortion baked into the recording. Minor peak distortion on "The Terror," and also there's about 4 seconds of extra noise right after the piano solo, as if the original owner played the last two choruses a few times more than the rest of the record, but after that brief section there's no more distortion in the last two choruses than before the noisy patch. One audible 3-groove needle run during the piano solo on "Market," and a few short audible scratches on both sides, with the usual amount of scuffing for the grade. MP3 available on request.
