The record is in E+ condition, looks new and plays beautifully. The label is typewritten on a Nola Recording Studios, Broadcaster Steinway Hall blank. The sleeve is from Presto Recording Corporation. The record is in the sleeve, between two corrugated pads in the original Nola Studios envelope.
Ms. Matsuki was a highly respected piano teacher for many years while also performing on occasion. In a review of a 1922 concert given by the Chromatic Club, Buffalo, NY, "The Musical Leader", Volume 43, printed "The pianist, Tsuya Matsuki, is a brilliant technicist, has a clear, crisp staccato, and plays her numbers with fluency."
Nola Recording Studios occupied the penthouse at the Steinway Building, 111 West 57th Street, in New York City for 75 years until early 2014.
