Description of Product

Hoagy Carmichael is featured on both sides of this disc from September 1929, along with New York studio regulars including Manny Klein, Miff Mole, Jimmy Dorsey, and Pee Wee Russell. Hoagy plays one of his best full-chorus piano solos on "Harvey," as well as sings the novelty vocal. This copy has a roughly 4" long patch of moisture damage on the edge that causes mild swish for the first 30 seconds on both sides, but apart from that it plays great with a 3.0-mil stylus, no peak distortion. Very light scuffing and a few light scratches. This record is from the personal collection of radio personality and music historian Barret “Dr. Demento” Hansen, who is starting to downsize portions of his collection.
