Here’s one of the holy grails of 1920s white jazz, featuring Frank Teschmacher and Muggsy Spanier. Unfortunately, this copy sustained a bad crack long ago and was repaired around 1980 by record repairman Jim Cooprider. It’s not a hair crack so it ticks or pops with every revolution, but other than that it’s a very clean copy, no scuffs or scratches and almost no wear, no distortion when played with a 3.5-mil stylus. MP3 available on request. This record is from the personal collection of radio personality and music historian Barret “Dr. Demento” Hansen, who is starting to downsize portions of his collection.
