1932 Richmond, IN recordings by members of the Memphis Jug Band, originally issued on scarce-as-hen’s-teeth Champion as Picaninny Jug Band, then reissued in 1940 on Varsity under the pseudonym Dallas Jug Band. Very clean copy, almost no wear and plays with no distortion, but has light scuffing. Unfortunately the dubs are not up to the usual decent quality of these Varsity reissues, but good luck finding the Champion! This record is from the personal collection of radio personality and music historian Barret “Dr. Demento” Hansen, who is starting to downsize portions of his collection.
