Description of Product

One of Waller's best pre-fame couplings, recorded in late 1927 in Camden's Trinity Church. "The Digah's Stomp" is a lovely pipe organ solo, and  "Geechee" features Waller on both piano and pipe organ AND his first vocal performance on record, accompanied by Thomas' Morris' Seven Hot Babies including Bobbie Leecan on guitar. "Geechee" is take 2, not the rare take. With a 3.5-mil stylus, "Digah's Stomp" plays with no distortion, and there are just a few instances of very light peak distortion on "Geechee." Looks nearly new, very shiny with just a few very light scuffs. This record is from the personal collection of radio personality and music historian Barret “Dr. Demento” Hansen, who is starting to downsize portions of his collection.
